Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
237 PM CDT Wed Aug 27 2025

.DISCUSSION...A wet period of weather will begin across the
forecast area early Thursday morning and continue through the
Labor Day weekend, with the best rain chances coming during the
Thursday through Friday night periods. This is as a result of a
series of upper level disturbances moving southeast through the
region area. Dense fog development is not expected Thursday nor
Friday mornings.
