Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
446 AM CDT Fri May 9 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Patchy dense fog has formed over the northeast and will be
possible over the central and south as well by sunrise. Patchy fog
is likely again Saturday morning especially central and south.
Widespread wetting rain is expected to develop from the south into
the central portions of the area today and tonight. Rain chances
will continue into Tuesday as an upper level low develops tonight
and lingers over the area before lifting out to the northeast
Tuesday. Slightly cooler than normal temperatures are expected
though the weekend as well.
