Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
241 PM CDT Mon Jun 16 2025

.DISCUSSION...Patchy early morning fog will be possible across the
south Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. A moist airmass will remain
in place and lead to mostly diurnally driven rain chances through
next week. Several upper level disturbances will move over the
region during the heat of the day to enhance the coverage of
convection at times. Afternoon highs will be slightly cooler than
normal again Tuesday but then a gradual warming trend to above
normal temperatures is expected through the weekend as high
pressure strengthens aloft over the region.
