Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
433 AM CST Fri Nov 21 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Patchy to areas of dense fog is ongoing over the eastern and
southern half of the area this morning before clearing by mid-
morning, especially as rain moves in. Rain and storms will spread
in from eastern LA into southern MS and increase in coverage into
the morning to afternoon hours. Can`t rule out some patchy
fog again into Saturday morning, especially in east to southeast
MS where recent and continued rain chances reside. The cold front
will move across the area into Saturday. A stronger cold front is
expected to move across the area Monday night into Tuesday, with
heavier rainfall totals of 1.5 to 2.5 inches on average. The
seasonably warm conditions will switch to a cooling trend through
the end of next week.
