Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
404 AM CST Sun Dec 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...An elevated layer of stratus covered the whole area
early this morning. If this layer becomes surface based toward
morning then areas of dense fog will result. Only patchy fog is
expected central and south Monday morning as a cold front will be
moving through the region. Rain is expected to develop today along
and ahead of the cold front but end prior to sunrise Monday
morning. Dry weather is then expected Monday through Wednesday.
Another low pressure system will bring rain chances Thursday night
into Friday.
