Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
144 PM CDT Fri Sep 12 2025

.DISCUSSION...
No significant fog development is anticipated Saturday
or Sunday morning. Surface ridging from the northeast will
combine with ridging aloft from the west, to result in warmer
than normal temperatures and no measurable rain chances through
next week. The hot temperatures and relatively low afternoon
humidity will serve to increase the abnormally dry conditions
across the northern districts. Minimum afternoon relative
humidities this weekend will drop to near critical thresholds in
the northern districts but the 20-foot winds will remain light.
