Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
414 AM CDT Thu Jun 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...hot and humid air will support showers and storms,
especially during the peak heating hours. Fog will be possible
late at night into the early morning hours, but dense fog is
not expected to be a concern.

No fire weather concerns are expected through the end of this
week due to increased rain chances and humidity. Chances for
showers and thunderstorms will peak in the afternoon hours each
day. Some patchy overnight light fog will be possible over
portions of southern MS and early Friday morning. Widespread dense
fog is not anticipated at this time.
