Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
410 AM CDT Sun Jun 23 2024

.DISCUSSION...Hot and increasingly humid conditions will exist
across the area today through at least the middle of the work
week. Highs each afternoon will climb into the middle and upper
90s, with afternoon heat index values near 105 and possibly higher
at times. A weak frontal boundary dropping into the region early
Monday morning, will sparks scattered showers and isolated storms
across the area late Monday morning into Monday afternoon.
Afternoon minimum relative humidity values will generally hover
between 35-45% today, and increasing to between 40-50% on Monday.
Fog development is not expected morning, but patchy ground fog
will be possible across the area around day break Monday.
