Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi

.DISCUSSION...Patchy light morning fog is possible in the
south Tuesday mornings but no significant fog development is
expected elsewhere. A weak cold front will continue dropping
through the southern districts this afternoon and evening. There
will isolated to scattered storms with the weak cold front.
Otherwise, above normal temperatures and moisture will combine for
another day of high peak heat index values Tuesday. The will only
be a low chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms across the
southern districts Tuesday afternoon before greater rain chances
increase Wednesday and Thursday as a shortwave trough drops over
the area. Ridging surface and aloft will strengthen back over the
region Friday into the weekend resulting in a greater concern of
heat and humidity again.
