Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
130 PM CDT Tue Aug 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...Patchy fog will be possible Wednesday and Thursday
mornings but widespread or dense fog is not anticipated. It will
remain hot and humid through Wednesday but an upper level trough
and associated cold front will approach the region Wednesday and
move over the region Thursday. This will result in greater rain
chances Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. The cold front looks
to stall across the southern districts Friday maintaining rain
chances there but drier air north of the stalled front will limit
rain chances across the northern districts through the weekend.
