Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
1256 PM CDT Tue Sep 2 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Patchy fog is possible Wednesday
morning especially in the north and central districts due to a
stalled frontal boundary and associated rain. A stalled front
will be the focus for rain chances today and tomorrow before
drier air moves back into the region. Temperatures will be cooler
than normal as well but warm back above normal Thursday and
Friday. Another cold front will move through the region Saturday
and bring cooler than normal temperatures for Sunday and Monday.
