Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
149 AM EDT Wed Oct 8 2025

.SYNOPSIS...

Elevated seas will continue through tonight as surface high pressure
shifts offshore of the mid-Atlantic coast, keeping Small Craft
Advisory conditions in place for portions of the waters.
A strong cold front will then move across the southeast states on
Wednesday, crossing the southeast Georgia waters late on Wednesday
night and the northeast Florida waters on Thursday. Meanwhile, a
strong high pressure ridge will wedge down the southeast seaboard on
Thursday, creating a surge of strong northeast winds and building
seas. Low pressure is expected to develop east of Cape Canaveral on
Friday, with this feature then moving slowly north, likely
approaching the Carolina Coast this weekend. Small Craft Advisory
conditions will overspread our local waters on Thursday, and due to
further increasing winds, Gale Watches will likely be required later
this week.
