Please contact our office at (904) 741-4370 if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION... ...HEAT ADVISORIES POSSIBLE EACH AFTERNOON FROM FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY... ...STRONG STORMS POSSIBLE DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS FROM FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY... Hot and humid weather is expected from Friday through Saturday afternoons, with showers and thunderstorms likely at the event site, mainly during the late afternoon and early evening hours each day. Strong storms are possible near or at the event site during this time frame, with activity potentially bringing wind gusts of 40-50 mph, frequent lightning strikes, and torrential downpours for a short period of time. Rainfall and sporadic lightning strikes could linger into the event onset on Friday and Saturday evenings. High temperatures will rise to the low and mid 90s before thunderstorms develop during the late afternoon hours, with heat advisories possible, as peak heat indices rise to the 108-112 degree range during the afternoon hours each day. Late afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms will cool temperatures to the upper 70s to around 80 at event time on Friday and Saturday evenings. Outside of thunderstorm activity, southeast to southerly winds around 10 mph will prevail through the afternoon hours through sunset on Friday, with speeds subsiding to 5-10 mph after sunset.
