Hot conditions will continue through this evening with heat index approaching heat advisory criteria through this afternoon and early evening. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will begin around 3 PM, and peak from about 4 PM to 8 PM today. Isolated strong storms will be possible, with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph. Dispersions will be in the fair to good range as mixing heights will reach over 6kft outside of any showers or storms. This mixing will bring RH down to around 45% later this afternoon and early evening. Tuesday, winds will shift more towards the north to northeast as a "backdoor" front brushes the region. Overall not as hot as today, with chances for showers and t`storms earlier in the day. Breezier flow will keep dispersions in a similar range to today despite more maritime influence and lower mixing heights. .REST OF TODAY...
