Please contact our office at (904) 741-4370 if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION...The east coast sea breeze boundary is starting to enter the the Okefenokee Wilderness Area,and will be slowly traveling through the area between 3 pm and 6 pm where localized heavy rain, storms and thunderstorm wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph. The sea breeze will pass west of the region around sunset where precipitation chances will decrease. There is a 40 to 60 percent chance of wetting rains. Low dispersions this afternoon with very low transport winds. Dry conditions and light winds are anticipated between 9 pm this evening through Sunday morning. Easterly winds will be 5 to 10 mph Sunday with east coast sea breeze moving through the Wilderness Area between 3 and 6 pm with wetting rain and storm chance likely during this period. Fair afternoon dispersions Sunday with easterly transport winds around 10 mph. Heat indices will be tempered both days as the seabreeze and rainfall pass through the prescribed burn area during peak heating. .REST OF TODAY...
