Northeasterly winds 8-12 mph with gusts to 15-20 mph mph expected today between surface high pressure ridge extending south from New England to north GA and Hurricane Erin moving to the northwest, but staying well to the southeast away from the region. The onshore northeast flow will generate convergent isolated to scattered coastal showers moving inland over the site at times this afternoon with an widely isolated T`storm possible under generally partly cloudy skies. Showers will end before sunset with skies turning mostly clear late tonight and winds becoming lighter from the east northeast 3-5 mph after midnight. Wednesday, as Erin moves northward well to the east of the region winds will shift to a northerly direction 5-10 mph gusting to 15 mph with drier air limiting chances for isolated showers mainly east of the site closer to the coastline. Elevated surface and transport winds will create high daytime dispersions this afternoon and again Wednesday as the pressure gradient remains tightened between the high to the north and Erin passing well to the east. .REST OF TODAY...
