The thunderstorms have weakened and moved north of the waters and no
longer pose a significant threat to boaters.

...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20
NM...

At 743 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 18 nm northwest of Altamaha Sound to 13 nm northwest
of Amelia City, moving east at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
St Simons Island Village, High Point, St. Simons Island, Saint
Andrews Sound, Buoy Kby, Buoy F, Dungeness, St Simons Sound Buoy 9,
Saint Marys Entrance Buoy 16, Cumberland Island, Jekyll Island, and
Buoy Cdh.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected. If your vessel is caught offshore, immediately secure for
heavy weather. Ensure all crew members are wearing USCG approved Type
I life jackets and nonessential crew are below decks. Deploy jack
lines and harnesses if available. Check life saving equipment,
including batteries on handheld radios, for readiness.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
