...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL ALACHUA COUNTY
THROUGH 715 PM EDT...
At 627 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a landspout near Alachua, or 7 miles south of
Worthington Spring, moving southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Landspouts, wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph, excessive cloud-to-
ground lightning, minor flooding due to heavy rainfall, and
pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects. Excessive cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring.
Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Gainesville, Alachua, University Of Florida, and La Crosse.
