Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
523 AM EDT Sun Aug 31 2025

.DISCUSSION...Surface high pressure will continue to dominate over
much of the forecast area; however, an upper-level trough that`s
situated over the far eastern portions of the state will trigger a
few isolated showers and storms this afternoon for areas mainly
along the VA and WV state lines. Isolated showers and storms will be
possible again Monday afternoon for areas along the TN state line.
Better rain chances will exist midweek as a series of cold fronts
move through the Commonwealth.
