Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
334 AM EDT Sat Jun 15 2024

.DISCUSSION...Strengthening high pressure develops to the west and
southwest before moving across the area tonight and then setting up
over the southern Appalachians Sunday into the first part of next week.
One last day of near normal temperatures is expected today, with
larger than usual ridge-valley splits tonight given drier than
usual conditions along with clear skies. However, from Sunday
through next week hot conditions are expected with highs in the 90s,
with limited diurnal shower and thunderstorm activity primarily on
Monday.
