.DISCUSSION...A cold front will continue to cross the area from
northwest to southeast this evening and bring a noticeably cooler air
mass to the area for this weekend. Showers will impact most places
as the front arrives. Some isolated thunderstorms may also be
possible through early this evening. Shower activity will linger
behind the front, especially in southeast Kentucky, where the
potential for rain continues at times through much of Sunday. The
most likely rainfall amounts are from around one-third of an inch to
the north to over one inch across the south. Drier and cooler air
moves in for the first half of next week.
