Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
527 AM EDT Mon Sep 1 2025

.DISCUSSION...Surface high pressure will continue to dominate over
much of the forecast area; however, an upper-level closed circulation
is situated to the northeast of the state. This circulation will
trigger a few isolated showers and storms this afternoon for areas
mainly along the TN state line and Cumberland River Valley. Better
rain chances will exist midweek as a series of cold fronts move
through the Commonwealth.
