Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
605 AM EDT Mon Sep 29 2025

.DISCUSSION...High pressure will lead to mainly dry weather through
most of the week. Some upper level weakness over the southern
Appalachians combined with a tropical weather system passing near
the southeast coast of the United States may result in isolated
showers from tonight through Tuesday for locations in the Hazard and
Pineville KDF Branches and the Redbird District of the DBNF.
Otherwise, dry weather and near normal to above normal temperatures
look to prevail throughout the week.
