754 FNUS73 KJKL 161939 FWSJKL Spot Forecast for Paul Van Booven WMA RX Burn...KY Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources National Weather Service Jackson KY 339 PM EDT Thu Oct 16 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 1600 EDT on October 16. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. Please contact our office if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION....Modest mixing will diminish by sundown. Upper- level ridging will build into the region through Friday but will be short-lived as an approaching trough will cause the ridge to break down leading to southwesterly flow and warmer temperatures. Highs will climb into the low to upper 70s but the source region for moisture is overland leading to continued dry air and lowered afternoon minimum RHs which will be in the upper 20 to mid 30 percent range. Some short term models such as the HRRR have hinted there could be a line of showers that move through the area early Saturday morning, however, a layer of dry air near the surface will likely result in virga. The above mentioned trough will bring a cold front through the area beginning Saturday afternoon and provides a wetting rain through frontal passage on Sunday. Strong winds will accompany the front Sunday afternoon. Surface high pressure and dry weather return to the area for Monday. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Sunny (0-5 percent).
