...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 107.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and
  southeast Kentucky.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...The hot and humid conditions may cause heat illness.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Morning low temperatures in the lower to mid
  70s will provide little relief from the heat.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
