...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN LESLIE...NORTHERN
LETCHER...EAST CENTRAL PERRY...SOUTHERN KNOTT...SOUTHEASTERN FLOYD
AND PIKE COUNTIES THROUGH 300 PM EDT...

At 211 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Meta to Speight to Sackett to Wooton. Movement
was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Pikeville, Hazard, Whitesburg, Letcher, Bath, Jenkins, Coal Run
Village, Elkhorn City, Wheelwright, Fleming-Neon, Pippa Passes,
Vicco, Blackey, Meta, Cody, Van, Jamboree, Carr Creek, Colly, and
Garden Village.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 U.S. Highway 119 in Pike County between mile markers 1 and 20.
 U.S. Highway 23 in Floyd County near mile marker 1.
 U.S. Highway 23 in Lethcher County between mile markers 2 and 7.
 U.S. Highway 23 in Pike County between mile markers 0 and 32.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
