.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 430 AM EDT Tue Jun 17 2025
Things don`t look too different from 24 hours in the Florida
Keys. Once again, KBYX is detecting widely scattered shower
activity, lacking any lightning, across the CWA. A majority of any
land impacts have passed over the Upper Keys. Temperatures across
the island chain are currently in the lower 80s with dew points
in the lower to mid 70s. Winds along the Reef are being recorded
at near 15 knots which is on track with our nightly surge we`ve
been experiencing. For today, east to southeast winds will
diminish to 10 to 15 knots and shower activity will sparse while
not expecting to amount to much accumulation over the island chain
itself.

Due to a large high pressure positioned over Florida and
stretching into the Gulf, weather conditions are expected to
remain similar through the remainder of the work week. The low-
level ridge above Florida will maintain moderate east to southeast
winds, featuring nighttime surges and daytime lulls. With the
steady wind pattern, overnight lows will continue in the lower 80s
and highs climbing into the upper 80s, accompanied by dew points
in the mid 70s. Nearing the weekend, there will be a potential
shift in our pattern bringing in additional moisture to the area.
There still is uncertainty on if a cut-off low, currently over the
eastern Bahamas, will make it in to our area, therefore have
opted to only go to low chance through the weekend. Stay tuned.
