Issued at 926 PM EDT Sat Aug 30 2025 Very early season troughing has dug into the eastern United States, with lower level troughing reaching down into the Florida Peninsula. This has setup a broad zone of very moist and confluent flow across our area. This contributed to a considerable amount of shower and thunderstorm activity across the Keys and surrounding waters, persisting through the late afternoon and evening. The synoptic flow has not been very strong, being light to gentle and broadly out of the west, when not contaminated by convection. No significant change to the local weather pattern is expected as the mid latitude trough to our north is not expected to go anywhere any time soon. While a down period appears to finally be forming, the overall pattern will remain supportive of at least scattered showers and thunderstorms. Given the expectation of a down spell, will maintain currently advertised PoPs. Aside from rain cooling, overnight lows will be broadly in the lower 80s with dew points in the mid 70s. && .MARINE... Issued at 926 PM EDT Sat Aug 30 2025 A wet pattern continues across Keys waters this evening. This is due to a very moist atmosphere within broadly confluent lower levels across our area. The surface flow has been fairly nebulous, tending light out of the southwest to west. No significant changes expected in the overall make up of our weather pattern. While a down period appears to finally be taking shape after the copious convection this evening, the overall pattern will remain supportive of at least scattered showers and thunderstorms once the environment can recover. Essentially no changes made in the evening marine update. && .AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Issued at 926 PM EDT Sat Aug 30 2025 A wet pattern remains across the broader area. As a result, episodes of sub VFR conditions, along with locally gusty winds will be possible. Away from convection, winds will be light and loosely out of the west. && .KEY WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... FL...None.
