.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1129 AM EDT Sun Jun 15 2025

Surface analysis depicts an expansive surface high pressure system
extending across the North Atlantic, with the axis of the
associated ridge bisecting the Florida Peninsula. The 12z morning
sounding at KEY depicted rising geopotential heights from the
surface to about 700 mb. Much of the earlier diurnal showers in
the Straits of Florida have dissipated, with KBYX radar detecting
very few meteorological echo returns at this late morning hour.
Temperatures are quickly rising into the upper 80s, with visible
satellite imagery detecting mostly sunny skies across the Keys.

For the balance of today, measurable rain chances remain quite
low, and would be near-nil except for the moderate to fresh east
to southeast breezes over very warm sea surface temperatures
promoting enhanced boundary layer moisture fluxes. No changes
proposed to the inherited overnight full forecast package.

.MARINE...

No watches, warnings, or advisories are currently in effect for
the coastal waters of the Florida Keys. From synopsis, Atlantic
ridging will remain across Florida for the next several days. This
will support moderate to occasionally fresh breezes. Winds will
peak in the evening and overnight, while lulling during the day.
