Coastal Waters Forecast for the Florida Keys

Florida Bay, Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef
to south of Dry Tortugas, and the extreme southeastern Gulf of
America, including The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

Seas are given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Wave Detail will include details about the period and direction
of origin for the highest energy waves. Long-period swells coming
from a different direction than the wind would be included in the
Wave Detail.

Synopsis for Keys coastal waters from Ocean Reef to Dry Tortugas
1045 PM EDT Mon Sep 29 2025

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Imelda, located east of the northeast
coast of Florida, will continue to move slowly northward, then
make a sharp eastward turn Tuesday into the west-central North
Atlantic. Moderate to fresh northwesterly breezes overnight and
Tuesday will slacken by Tuesday night. High pressure over the
Eastern Seaboard will slowly slide eastward into the western North
Atlantic, with mainly gentle northwesterly breezes eventually
veering to the northeast to east for the middle to latter part of
the work week.

37 NM South of Cosgrove Shoal Light...off the Marquesas Keys.
