Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Wave Detail will include details about the period and direction of origin for the highest energy waves. Long-period swells coming from a different direction than the wind would be included in the Wave Detail. Moderate to fresh breezes will persist for the overnight through Sunday, with the strongest winds remaining across the southern waters. Breezes will clock around over the weekend into early next week, as high pressure moves off the eastern United States and across the southwestern North Atlantic. This will also allow breezes to slacken through Monday. Another cold frontal passage is expected Monday night to Tuesday, prompting a second round of freshening breezes.
