Florida Bay, Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef
to south of Dry Tortugas, and the extreme southeastern Gulf of
America, including The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

Seas are given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

The Wave Detail section highlights the period and direction of
origin for the highest-energy waves, as well as any long-period
swells moving in a different direction than the wind.

.SYNOPSIS...
Numerous showers with embedded scattered thunderstorms will remain
likely this morning and gradually decrease in coverage as we go
into the afternoon. Most of the activity by this afternoon will
concentrate across the outer Gulf waters as well as the near to
offshore waters surrounding the Upper and Middle Keys. Elevated
northerly swell will persist through Tuesday for the waters
southeast of the Upper Keys. Broad wind convergence across the
marine zones will keep shower and thunderstorm chances high
through Tuesday. Expect slackening breezes and drier air during
the middle of the week for all marine zones.
