to south of Dry Tortugas, and the extreme southeastern Gulf of
America, including The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

Seas are given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

The Wave Detail section highlights the period and direction of
origin for the highest-energy waves, as well as any long-period
swells moving in a different direction than the wind.

.SYNOPSIS...
A weak ridge will stretch southwestward across the Florida
Peninsula, keeping gentle northeast to easterly breezes tonight
and tomorrow. Breezes will slacken heading into the weekend as
the ridge weakens and shifts southward into South Florida and the
Keys. There is a potential for brief nocturnal surges each night
through the next several days. In addition, drier air filtering
through the lower levels will keep near normal rain chances. A
surface high will develop across the Gulf beginning Friday, which
may lead to brief nocturnal wind surges along the west coast of
Florida and into the outer Gulf waters.
