Florida Bay, Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef
to south of Dry Tortugas, and the extreme southeastern Gulf of
America, including The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

Seas are given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

The Wave Detail section highlights the period and direction of
origin for the highest-energy waves, as well as any long-period
swells moving in a different direction than the wind.

...Updated to reflect lower rain chances this evening increasing
overnight...

.SYNOPSIS...An Atlantic ridge off the mid Atlantic coast will
retain a ridge across northern Florida and the Gulf coast. This
will hold gentle to moderate easterly breezes on our waters
through the remainder of the week and into early next week. Expect
swings in wind speeds, lulling during the day and peaking
overnight. Periodic cautions cannot be ruled out. Rain and thunder
chances will remain elevated into tonight, but trend down towards
normal over the ensuing days. Higher winds and seas should be
expected near stronger showers and thunderstorm.
