Fire Weather Planning Forecast for the Florida Keys
National Weather Service Key West FL
501 AM EDT Sun Sep 20 2026

.Discussion...
An upper level low will linger in the eastern Gulf waters into
early next week. This system will continue to maintain a wet
weather pattern across the Keys over the coming days. Daily rain
chances will remain well above normal with rain chances peaking
around 60% to 70% and RH values bottoming out in the mid 60s in
the afternoon and recover into the 80s overnight. Surface winds
will be light to gentle mostly out of the southeast to south for
the remainder of the weekend and into the new week. Rain chances
will also continue to remain elevated into next week, as deep
moisture lingers across the Florida Keys in the wake of the
departing weather disturbance.
