Fire Weather Planning Forecast for the Florida Keys
National Weather Service Key West FL
553 AM EDT Tue Sep 24 2024

.Discussion...
Slight above normal rain chances are expected today, with well
above normal rain chances beginning tonight and continuing through
late week. The increased rain chances are due to Potential
Tropical Cyclone Nine in the northwestern Caribbean Sea which will
make its closest pass to the west of the Keys sometime Wednesday
night into Thursday. East to southeasterly breezes will remain
fairly steady through Wednesday morning before further increasing
as the system approaches while shifting to the southeast to south
and then south to southwest late Thursday into Friday. Minimum
afternoon RHs will be in the upper 60s today with mid 70s for
Wednesday with good RH recover at night.
