Three to four waterspouts occurred south of
Marathon on Saturday evening, and were
reported via social media. All of the
waterspouts were reported to have lasted
approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Included in
the report were two videos of two of the
waterspouts. The first waterspout was a very
skinny, mature waterspout with a visible
spray ring, tilted at a 45 degree angle. The
second waterspout appeared to be a little
less mature with the condensation funnel
reaching approximately halfway down to the
surface from the base of the cloud, and with
a very faint, almost indistinguishable spray
ring. This waterspout had very minimal tilt
to it. The parent cell was moving from west
to east at approximately 10 to 15 knots.
