            A couple of reports of a waterspout
            associated with a thunderstorm just south of
            Big Pine Key have been made by both a group
            of storm chasers as well as a member of the
            public. The storm chasers reported the
            condensation funnel extending down from the
            cloud base, but there was no spray ring
            visible. The waterspout occurred around 3:10
            PM EDT. and only lasted around 5 minutes.
            The photo submitted by the member of the
            public showed two condensation funnels; one
            thin and one a little thicker, tilted at a
            45 degree angle. Trees and homes blocked the
            view of the surface, so no spray ring was
            visible.
