NEARSHORE WATERS SURROUNDING THE LOWER AND MIDDLE KEYS...

The areas affected include...
Hawk Channel from Ocean Reef to Halfmoon Shoal out to the reef...
Bay and Gulf Side from Craig Key to Halfmoon Shoal out to 5
fathoms...

At 337 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a
cloudline capable of producing potential waterspouts... This cloud
line was located along a line extending from Toms Harbor to near
Little Pine Key, moving east at 10 knots. A waterspout has already
been observed with this cloudline.

Locations that will be affected include...
Coupon Bight, Bonefish Tower, Toms Harbor, Vaca Cut Daybeacon 13,
Long Key Viaduct, Money Key, and Newfound Harbor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Environmental conditions favor waterspout formation. A waterspout
would most likely appear beneath a dark, flat bottom of a building
cumulus line, just at the hint of rain. If you see a waterspout, stay
away, and call in the report to your Florida Keys National Weather
Service, at 3 0 5 2 9 5 1 3 1 6 extension 3.
