At 1114 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a
strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots.
This thunderstorm was located near Raccoon Key, moving south at 5
knots.
Locations that will be affected include...
Howe Key, Coupon Bight, Raccoon Key, Newfound Harbor, Cudjoe Bay,
Little Knockemdown Key, and Water Keys.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as
safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
