Straits of Florida from Halfmoon Shoal to 20 nm west of Dry Tortugas
out 60 nm...
Straits of Florida from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to south of
Halfmoon Shoal 20 to 60 nm out...

At 709 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a
large cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing wind
gusts near 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 35 nm south of Tortugas Ecological Reserve South to
46 nm south of Twenty-Eight Foot Shoal Light, moving northeast at 10
knots.

Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as
safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
