The areas affected include... Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef west end of Seven Mile Bridge out 60 nm... At 237 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a cluster of strong showers and thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. The leading edge of the showers and thunderstorms were along a line extending from 8 nm southeast of Floyd`s Wall Northeast to near Floyd`s Wall Southwest to 15 nm south of the Rips, moving northwest at 10 knots.
