...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS SOUTH OF BOCA GRANDE...

The areas affected include...
Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from west end of Seven Mile
Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal out 20 nm...
Gulf of America from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal
out to 5 fathoms...

At 214 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a
strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots.
This thunderstorm was located near Boca Grande, moving east at 10
knots.

Locations that will be affected include...
Eastern Dry Rocks, Western Dry Rocks, Boca Grande, Sand Key Light,
and Key West Sea Bouy.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as
safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
