...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM IN THE SOUTHWEST DISTANT STRAITS OF
FLORIDA...

The areas affected include...
Straits of Florida from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to 20 nm west
of Dry Tortugas out 60 nm...

At 919 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a a
strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots.
This thunderstorm was located 35 nm southwest of Twenty-Eight Foot
Shoal Light, moving southeast at 10 knots.

The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as
safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
