...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS TO THE SOUTHEAST OF
FLOYD`S WALL NORTHEAST...

The areas affected include...
Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef to Craig Key 20 to 60 nm out...

At 602 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a a
strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots.
This thunderstorm was located 21 nm southeast of Floyd`s Wall
Northeast, moving northwest at 20 knots.

The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as
safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
