Through 930 am, isolated showers and thunderstorms will wax and wane as they drift eastward across the nearshore waters of the Lower and Middle Keys, in addition to the island chain. This activity will produce occasional lightning strikes, wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and blinding downpours. Island residents may observe an additional tenth to a quarter of an inch of rainfall. $$
