Through 1 pm, isolated showers and thunderstorms will move to the west at 5 to 10 knots, mainly across the Upper Keys and immediate coastal waters. These showers and storms will be capable of localized wind gusts of 20 to 25 knots, reduced visibility within pockets of moderate to heavy rain, and possibly a rare lightning strikes. Through 1 pm, a cloud line has developed across the Middle and Lower Keys. The cloud line over the Lower Keys is more robust with showers developing at the western end of this cloud line and moving into the nearshore waters. Mariners should prepare for brief blinding downpours, wind gusts near 20 knots from Key West out to near Boca Grande. There is the potential for showers to strength into an isolated thunderstorm or two over the next couple of hours. $$
