Through 1000 am, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms spread
across the eastern Florida Straits, Hawk Channel south of the Upper
and Middle Keys, and Florida Bay will continue to move northwest at
near 15 knots as they wax and wane. Some of these showers may cross
the Upper Keys while producing wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour and
rainfall accumulations up to a tenth of an inch. Mariners
encountering the strongest of this activity can expect moderate to
blinding downpours limiting visibility, wind gusts to near 25 knots,
and occasional cloud-to-surface lightning strikes.
