Through 300 pm, scattered showers with possible isolated stronger
thunderstorms will continue to develop along a broken cloud line
along and north of portions of the Lower Keys. Activity associated
with this cloud line will drift to the southwest to west at near 10
knots. Mariners encountering the stronger activity can expect heavy
downpours reducing visibility, wind gusts near 20 knots, and a rare
cloud to lightning strike. A few island communities between Stock
Island and Sugarloaf Key can expect up to a quick quarter of an inch
of rainfall.
