Through 600 pm, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across the SE Gulf and the nearshore waters north of the Lower Keys will continue to wax and wane over the next hour or two while they slow drift to the east northeast or remain stationary. Additionally, an outflow boundary with occasional shower activity along it continues to propagate to the southwest to west at near 20 knots. Mariners encountering the stronger activity across the SE Gulf and nearshore waters north of the Lower Keys can expect blinding downpours reducing visibility, wind gusts to near 25 knots, and occasional lightning strikes. $$ MJV
