Through 1000 am, scattered showers with isolated embedded brief thunderstorms will push through portions of the Middle and Upper Keys as well as as the adjacent marine zones. This activity will move generally to the southwest at near 25 knots. Mariners, especially in the eastern Straits of Florida, can expect brief moderate to heavy downpours reducing visibility, wind gusts 30 to 35 knots, and a few cloud to surface lightning strikes. Over land, a few island communities in the Middle and Upper Keys can expect up to a quick tenth of an inch of rainfall. $$
