Through 115 pm, scattered showers with embedded thunderstorms will
wax and wane while moving eastward at near 10 knots over the Outer
Gulf waters, the Florida Keys, the nearshore waters surrounding the
island chain, and the northeasternmost Florida Straits. This
activity is capable of producing stray lightning strikes, wind gusts
of 25 to 30 knots, and blinding downpours. Island communities,
particularly around Islamorada, may observe rainfall amounts of a
tenth to a quarter of an inch.
