.NOW...
Through 400 pm, scattered showers with embedded isolated
thunderstorms will wax and wane across the northern nearshore and
offshore waters of the Florida Keys, the island chain, and the waters
of the Florida Straits directly south of the Middle and Upper Keys.
Showers are pulsing along a broad, disorganized line from Alligator
Reef Light to the Dry Tortugas. The strongest cells will be capable of wind
gusts of 25 to 30 knots, reduced visibility in moderate to heavy
downpours, and a stray lightning strike. Island communities may
observe an additional tenth to a quarter of an inch of rainfall.
