Through 600 pm, scattered showers with isolated embedded
thunderstorms will generally wane as they move generally to the east
at near 15 knots across the Florida Keys Island Chain and the
adjacent nearshore and offshore coastal waters. Mariners encountering
any of the isolated pockets of stronger activity may experience
moderate to heavy rainfall reducing visibility, wind gusts of 20 to
25 knots, and occasional lightning strikes. Island communities where
showers cross may see up to an additional tenth an inch of rainfall.
