Through 3 pm, numerous showers will move east southeast at near 10
knots through the nearshore waters surrounding the Lower Keys and
western Middle Keys, the deep Gulf waters and the distant Straits.
The stronger of the activity is capable of blinding downpours, wind
gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and frequent lightning strikes. Island
communities from Key West to Marathon Key can expect up to an inch
in rainfall.
